Identification:
Stems solitary , to 2 m tall and 1.3-1.6 cm diameter, errect or creeping. Leaves 3-4, simple, rarely pinnate with a few basal leaflets; petiole grey-green; blades oblong, 50-80 cm long and 12-25 cm wide, bifid to one quarter their length, with toothed margins. Inflorescence with 3-10, pendulous flowering branches; fruits ellipsoid, 7-8 mm long and 5-6 mm diameter, black.
